The following examples are meant to give an insight into some techniques that are covered through private instruction. Each video has an accompanying pdf file showing the exercise in standard notation and tablature along with suggested fingerings. Enjoy.
This is the first of two exercises based on the idea of being able to find any root note on the guitar fretboard. Exercise #1 covers three octaves starting with root notes found on the sixth string (E). Exercise #2 covers two octaves beginning with root notes found on the fifth string (A). Techniques of string skipping and octave displacement are also addressed.
